This event has become a yearly happening, and Sonia has performed a few sold out concerts every spring and fall since 1994 in the magical acoustic soundscape of Tomba Emanuelle.

Tomba Emmanuelle contains the masterpiece "Vita" by the famous Norwegian artist Emanuel Vigeland. With a natural reverb of more than 40 seconds, you can hear Sonia Loinsworth sing up to 3 voices with harmonic chant simultaneously. She performs songs from the new album "Guru Rinpoche Mantra", and more recent, yet unrecorded compositons. The mausoleum is covered with Vigelands artwork from roof to floor, and gives an extraordinary space for this musical meditation. Welcome to a contemplative concert with harmonic chant and Tibetan Buddhist Mantras.

CD-Music launches in Australia and the USA in 2013

10 years after the first release and 3 months after the last, the recordings of Tibetan Buddhist Mantras will be released in Australia and re-released in the USA in 2013.

My wish for this music has been the same for a decade, and it is very simple: May the mantra music inspire and deepen your practice, and may it bring resonance in your heart. In Chant sessions, workshops and concerts, the intention is always the same. Mantras are a powerful tool to deepen the contact within; to strengthen our hearts and ability to love more, deeper, wider, and wilder when neccessary. Hope you Enjoy!

Over the past twenty years Sonia Loinsworth has offered many concerts/recitals at the legendary Tomba Emmanuelle, and we felt it was time to share this extraordinary and unique musical atmosphere that reflects the deep spirit from whence it emerges so amazingly.

This recording is as close as it gets to being there. The pure sound of Sonia singing Tibetan Buddhist mantras in a state of contemplation is lent wings with subtle drone instrumentation on three crystal quartz singing bowls, all enhanced by the acoustic soundscape of the Tomba.

December 2012: This letter came from Margay after the MantraChant workshop in Trondheim last week.

"I wish —no, I feel compelled — to write something after our extraordinary experience last weekend.

I am still digesting what happened... although I’m not thinking cognitively about it for a change. There are no words for it, and that is perfectly fine. It doesn’t need a label, description or name. I’m simply absorbing it. Feeling it. Drawing strength from it. And apparently, I’m feeding off the extraordinary energy we shared, because my creativity, which has been asleep for years, has woken up.
Something special happened on Sunday. For me, it was a releasing. A deep, old sadness slipped. I have been trying for 12 years to let go of something very painful, and it was there that it happened. In that room... I feel lighter than I have in a long time.

A weekend with MantraChant

During this weekend, we sing mantras from several spiritual traditions, opening to the subtler dimensions within ourselves.

Mantra recitation and song is an intense way to initiate a dialogue with the heart and its natural qualities, and can reveal deep layers of joy, gratitude and a spontaneous sense of kindness towards both oneself and others.

Mantra Chant and recitation has traditionally been used to enhance healing, contemplation, and devotion, and as a companion or guide into deep levels of human consciousness.
